Very nice, well-kept park with excellent facilities. Easy access off the freeway, but far enough off to eliminate noise. All sites are paved, but tend to be on the small side. Pool was shut down for the season. Excellent park on Moses Lake close by to walk pets. Not the kind of park we would stay at for an extended period, but great for an overnight.
Nice, well-kept park. Far enough off the freeway to keep noise to a minimum. Sites are nice size, but not too many with shade. Great for an overnight stop. Very nice restroom/shower/laundry/game room facilities.
This is one of the nicest little campgrounds we've stayed at in a long time. Staff were very friendly; park was immaculate and easy to get to from the freeway. It's close to freeway, but noise was minimal. Also close to railroad tracks, but only heard one train. Beautiful riverfront access, with lots of grass and trees. We'll stop here again on our way through Montana.
This is a very old, very run-down park that has seen better days. Caters to many seasonal fishermen. Many seasonal RV's, some in bad shape and junky. Several cabins available and appeared to be in good condition. The name indicates a view of Glendo Lake, and you can see just a sliver of it in the distance if you stand in just the right spot. Not the kind of park we'd stay in for an extended stay, but good for an overnight stop. Easy access off the freeway. Not much noise from traffic, but loud train noise from tracks about 100 feet away.
We agree with previous posts. Very nice park with excellent facilities, well maintained and patrolled. Becomes a little pricey when the $6.00 daily use fee for each vehicle is included. April is a great time to stay here; you have your pick of the best sites. Make sure you make reservations if you plan to stay more than 3 days.
Very quiet park in a beautiful location on Grand Lake of the Cherokees. Sites are all paved or concrete. Some sites are quite spacious while others are extremely close together. Most are quite level, but a few would require significant leveling. In April, you have your pick of sites, but in the busy season, you could get a less-than-desirable site. Park is a mile off Hwy 59 on south side of Grove, with very handy access to Wal-Mart and other shopping, yet quiet.
We agree with previous poster that this park is a long ways from anywhere, but it was very quiet and peaceful. RV sites were spacious, level and well-maintained. Only 2 pull-thru's. Great view of the water coming over the spillway of the dam. Great fishing at the spillway as well as the lake. Walk your dog on the road because grass is full of stickers! Bring plenty of groceries; it's 20 miles to nearest grocery store. Office staff and rangers are very friendly and helpful.
I agree with previous posts. Park is a little rundown, but good overnight stop. We like the idea of only paying for what you use. We paid $8.00 base rate, and $2.00 for elec. It's an additional $2 ea for water, sewer, and if you use your AC. $3.00 additional for more than 2 people. All sites are pull-thrus, level, grass, and long enough to hold big rig 5th-wheels w/o unhooking. SuperWalmart is 7.5 miles away in Guymon. Easy access off Hwy 64. Free WiFi. Showers/bathrooms are old, but clean with good water pressure.
Nice spacious park with level gravel sites, all back-in's, but angled well for easy entry. Park is well-maintained, with the best Wi-Fi we've seen in a private RV park. Owners just converted an old goat pen into an enclosed dog run; another nice touch was the bag dispensers and trash cans for dog waste placed throughout the park. Two private catch/release fish ponds with some decent fish in them. Large community room available for group events. Park is very quiet, despite being only 1 mile from town. Chickasaw National Recreation Area is only a couple miles away, with great fishing areas, and miles of well-maintained hiking trails. Small pool which was still closed for winter.
